נושא עבודת הדוקטורט: השיח הארגוני סביב התאגדויות העובדים החדשות בישראל 2012-2014.

תמר חוקרת תקשורת ארגונית. עבודת הדוקטורט שלה מתמקדת בשיח הארגוני סביב התאגדויות העובדים החדשות, בחברות עסקיות בישראל – מגמה משמעותית הגוברת בשנים האחרונות. היא עוקבת מקרוב אחר הדרכים בהן עובדים משתמשים במדיה חברתיים ניידים במהלך מאמציהם להקים ארגון עובדים יציג במקום עבודתם.

במחקרה, תמר חושפת את ההשלכות הסוציו-מטריאליות של מינוף טכנולוגיות תקשורת למטרת התנגדות ארגונית בפרט ולאקטיביזם בכלל. היא בוחנת היבטים כגון זמינויות (affordances) מדיה חברתיים ניידים ודפוסי השתתפות בהם, הייצוג העצמי של העבדים וקולם הקולקטיבי, כמו גם שיח יחסי העבודה העכשווי.
